The Berea neighborhood located in East Baltimore is comprised of historic row homes. Residents of Berea enjoy a strong sense of community, engaged neighbors, and is also home to the BNCAI.

The BNCA strives to create a connected and resilient community by advocating for equitable opportunity, fostering neighborhood unity, and promoting safety, wellness, and sustainable growth.
We are committed to empowering residents, preserving our cultural and historical heritage, and cultivating a welcoming environment where all neighbors can thrive, engage and contribute, to a shared vision for a better future.

HISTORY & BYLAWS
The Association was established on October 30, 1975 by Mrs. Gladys Gilliam, Mrs. Hilda Brown, Mrs. Rosie L. Miles, Mr. Ernest Hawkes, Mrs. Knight, and Rev. Calvin English.
Previous Names of the community association were:
The Eastside Neighborhood Association (1975),
Berea Eastside Neighborhood Association (2013),
Fort Worthington Neighborhood Association (2018),
Berea Neighborhood Community Association, Inc. (since 2024).
